Imperfectly Beautiful

If you came over from The Nesting Place, WELCOME! This is my installment of IDHTBPTBB!
I've already visited several participating blogs, many of which posted pictures from their home "as is" TODAY. My main installment is from February, but so you don't feel cheated, I took this one less than a minute ago. Yep, he's zonked out and nope, I'm not moving him. He naps beautifully on the couch so there he stays. Yes, our family room is a wreck, which it always is after a good weekend. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Moving on...
My back porch leaves MUCH to be desired--but for my Fifth Annual Valentine's Day Potluck Tea Party, I was heart-set on having it outdoors. The back patio became as beautiful as I could make it, despite the lack of landscaping and the mis-matched...well, EVERYthing! It's all about creative distraction!

Make my day--leave a comment so I can come see YOUR IDHTBPTBB!

Stopping by to visit your Beautiful Imperfection...although it looks pretty good to me!

I have to say that when I saw the gravel back yard I thought "She HAS to be in Southern Arizona! I recognize that gravel!"

Sure enough, you are! (Just in case you forgot where you live.)

I am in southern AZ myself!

(Re-reading this comment makes me feel like a perfect stalker...but going with the imperfect beauty theme and going to send it anyway!)

Outside on Valentines Day? I'm envious, it's still depressingly cold here in February.

I love the pic of your kiddo. How peaceful. :)

"...it's all about creative distraction."

I love that! That's so true. There's a knack to it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've really enjoyed visiting and getting to know you.

I'm so glad that The Nester hosted this challenge. It's been fun seeing other peoples beautiful, imperfect homes!

The tea party looks like such a great time! And I only wish my three-year-old would nap - ANYWHERE!

I've always wanted to go to a tea party and yours certainly looks like a lot of fun! I actually envy people who live in climates where they don't have to mow grass! I adore pea gravel and dream of making a pea gravel path to my front door. Is that what you have in your back yard? Whatever it is I like it, lol Thanks for sharing!
