What I've been up to (and giveaway!!)

OK, I am technically "back," and feeling much more balanced and happy. Blogging is now my "fun when the work is done" activity.

Details will be coming soon about my little "card project," but here's what I've been doing with some of the time I haven't been spending blogging! MAKING CARDS!

Here's some of them close up.

Besides the stuff I collect off and on, I used scraps given to me from
Sweet Jessie (blog) link

This was a favorite, from a description of poppies, possibly from an old book?? Poppies are my second favorite flower.

And this little map from West Virginia and a page from a Filofax thingy.

And an old cookie recipe! It just gives them a little vintage flair, don'tcha think?? You bet I'll be collecting this kind of stuff from now on!

Many of my papers were from

Thanks, ladies!!
You may be surprised to know that many of the embellishments were in my Christmas stocking, from my hubby! He has great taste. Thanks, Love!
My mom, sister-in-law and I spent a couple hours this weekend making cards, too, for special occasions or just as a "thinking of you." Now I know what rubber stamps I need to purchase! It was so much fun to sit, gab and CREATE! I think we got my SIL hooked. They both said, "Oo, now I know what to buy for you." YES!!
The next day, I got all my goodies out again while I was still in the zone and did another round!

This stamp is a favorite quote: "Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers." I'm especially blessed because, while I have learned to feed my own soul, I have a mom and a hubby who frequently surprise me with flowers!

I also used my much-loved teacup stamp...

...and dragonfly stamp.

And this is what my desk looked like after I was done. Heehee.

**GIVEAWAY!!!**

I give "hello" cards most often...the sort of ones nobody is expecting. More fun for everyone that way!

I just ran across yoru blog and find your cards adorably adorable. I love cards....I collected them in high school (15 yrs back) and would save them for very special occasions however I think I spend the most thought on cards for Mother's Day. Not a big fan of Hallmark on Mother's Day but I think it is the day that I need to put the most thought in...I love to support the woman in my life.
