Goodies

Serendipity is one of my favorite words. It means, "Finding something valuable not sought for."
I looooove finding cool stuff unexpectedly!! At IKEA, the potential for serendipity is HUGE. I went for shoe racks (see post below) and left with all of THIS, too!!
Pink piggy bank for our son who frequently sneaks into his auntie's room to steal hers (he loves putting the money in)...fabulous napkins...pink tea light holders for my birthday party...and my favorite find--three polka dot nesting tins!! Woo-hoo!!

And I've had this little mini-terrarium/greenhouse thingy for years, but had never found the right size flowers to go in it--but IKEA had these for $3 each!!

I also swung through Hobby Lobby cuz their rubber stamps (and other supplies) were 50% off. These are my new stamps!! I may go back for fall/Thanksgiving stamps and for Christmas. 50% is a steal!!

I also got everything on my list on sale, including yarn, a small hole punch for the new brads I got, a photo storage box ($2) and a cute lined journal ($2).

Aaaahhhh. Good ol' retail therapy.

Mmmmm - Ikea. I'm pretty sure I already told you about me and Ikea (and our private love affair).
When I was there last week, I saw those polka-dot tins and had them in my cart but ended up putting them back because I didn't know what I'd do with them. What are you going to do with yours? Also - I bought the same plants, only I bought 3 of them (I have a thing for the #3) and wished I'd bought 5.

Oh how I love Ikea...but oh my checkbook does not like it. I can never find what I need for some reason but ALWAYS find stuff I want, and usually it is a lot of stuff...lol. And can you believe we do not have a Hobby Lobby down here in Southern California ...nope, not one.

I just found your blog - I am relativley new to blogging so still figuring things out - I was happy to see we share many of the same interests (mothering, attachment parenting, etc.)! Is this how you connect with fellow bloggers, by looking for similar interests, or is there another way? This probably isn't the appropriate place to ask questions, I'm just a little lost in blogger land. It doesn't seem like anyone, aside from friends and family, has found my blog? How do people find it? As for Ikea...is there anybody who doesn't love Ikea? I live in Oregon and the closest Ikea used to be in Seattle. Thankfully there is a Portland store now, which is much closer. The only problem I have after an Ikea run...I want to redecorate at least one room in my house after leaving the store!
