We Are THAT Family
Yes, in 1991, those were my new glasses. For reading, I believe.
I do look more studious somehow.
The hair is definitely just "OK." The bangs were very typical of the early nineties, and it's permed, of course.
My question is, was that the best I could do on frames?? C'mon!!! I look like I borrowed my dad's glasses in the 1970s!!
I will also comment on the rolled sleeves. We did that!! And the Swatch watch, remember those?? I would go into the department store to get a new rubber band-thingy to go over the face of it--to protect it from scratches?? This particular one might even be a generic Swatch.
P.S. Katharine, do you remember loving this picture of me??

I so remember those days, we thought we looked so good.:)
LOL ... I remember those days. If I'm not mistaken, that was around the same time I got my first pair of glasses.... you've inspired me. I just might have to post about that now. lol Just wait till you see these monstrous things!!! LOL
I love your NEW glasses. That made me laugh! Those were the days. I never got the rolled sleeve look, I struggled with it, but I was a nerd like that :D
Go to the weeks before FRO post and you'll see the same glasses on me!
So cool really!
My oh my, my glasses were exactly the same. The past two weeks of 'Fro Me To You have had me sans glasses. But I'll have to post one of me in the huge things sooner or later. At least yours weren't colored plastic, like Sally Jesse Raphael.
I love the rolled sleeve thing. You don't look much different in your 'now" photo. I mean updated of course, but not much older. Nice.
(I also can not resist cute office supplies)
I had a pair of glasses like that and a Swatch! Oh, it was a joyous Christmas morning the day I got my Swatch!
haha..the rolled sleeves. Swatch watches were awesome! I had the big swatch wall clock!!! I still have one of my old swatch watches too!
I think it was cool that you were sitting at a computer in 1991!
You look so much like "Carol Sever" from Growing Pains in that picture!
I never had glasses but actually remember always wishing that I did. I did have the swatch with the guard though.
I had very similar frames and hairstyle.
Hee! Your glasses bring back memories. I too had glasses that seem way too big when I look at pictures. At the time, I thought they looked pretty dang good. ;)
I played too.
Huge and purple...gotta love the 90's!
Oh my. All of those things you mentioned I had or did! *sigh* I thought I was SO cool.
LOL you are stylin' for the 90's!
