Spring Fluffing Party
Check out the rest of the party over at
Southern Hospitality
Welcome!! Thanks, Rhoda, for putting this on!
Here's some of my favorite Spring Fluffing projects.
First of all, I gave the desk and shelf in my Morning Room a Spring face-lift by emptying it and adding back only white pieces, with a touch of green, brown and yellow. I love the cohesive feel.
Here's the desk in the morning light. The lamp was already there and I just moved around the other pieces.
And here's the shelf up above. See the cheese platter? I'm still looking for the perfect bird's nest to go under there.
This was an idea I borrowed from a magazine. I love the simplicity of the moss and nest in the hurricane.
I placed it on my dining room sideboard and just added other bird-related items to make it a trio.
I couldn't fluff without fluffing the bathroom! I'd already changed it from paprika to purple and accessorized with lavender and fairies, but this wall has been bugging me in its bare state for 5 years so I finally broke down and bought some wall art at Ross this week for $16 and added purple votive candles.
Part of why I liked it was because it goes with this basket. We've had on-going company for three weeks straight now so I loaded it with a lavender candle and a bird's nest full of sample-size goodies for guests.
Here's my other Spring touches in the bathroom.
Last is my dining room table, where the Lazy Susan serves us well. Besides the usual napkins, salt and pepper and coasters, I love putting out this green cross at Easter time and I couldn't resist these daffodils for $1.50 from our newly-opened Fresh & Easy store.
Thank you for dropping by--I can't wait to see what all of you have been up to!
